My current passions include all types of cycling, meditation, spinning electronic music, running, kiteboarding and Onewheeling - I like to keep moving! But it hasn't always been easy...
From an early age, I've been dealing with CF (cystic fibrosis - previously a terminal diagnosis), and for the last 15 years diabetes from CF. I lived an active and athletic life until my 30's when my health declined to the point I was on oxygen 24/7 with months to live.
A double-lung transplant nine years ago gave me a new lease on life, and allowed me to co-found Rumble Nutrition (www.drinkrumble.com) based on my homemade Supershake as well as a start a non-profit to fight hunger (www.onepercentforhunger.org) and chase adventures once again.
To survive until transplant, I was forced to become a fierce advocate for my own health. I have been privileged to help others from my own hard fought lessons.
This blog highlights valuable insights in health, wellness and living life to the fullest.
My sincere hope is to help others heal and be happy.
I have lost family members to cancer ( and I'm currently helping my brother keep healthy in face of stage 4 cancer diagnosis). This blog also allows me to share insights from what we are learning in realtime in his battle. In short, this blog is a chronicle of my own healing journey and those around me.
As a visitor here, you are part of a fantastic community! The biggest factor in my own healing has been the community of friends and family that have supported me, and that extends to those who have taught me their own lessons on healing. I intend to pay that back with all that I have learned and continue as a keen student of all things health related - and your input is part of that!
